Vivekanand Education Society’s Arts, Science & Commerce College has announced the launch of two new undergraduate programmes—B.Com. in International Accounting integrated with ACCA and B.Com. in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI)—from the academic year 2026–27. The three-year programmes are designed to equip students with industry-relevant skills, global exposure, and practical training aligned with the evolving demands of the financial and business sectors.
The B.Com. in International Accounting programme, developed in collaboration with FPA Edutech Pvt. Ltd., is aligned with the ACCA framework and offers students up to nine paper exemptions. The course includes over 650 hours of expert-led training, access to learning management systems, mock tests, AI-enabled tools, mentorship, and academic support. It aims to build strong competencies in global accounting, financial management, auditing, and taxation, opening pathways to international careers.
Meanwhile, the B.Com. in BFSI programme is being offered as an Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP) in collaboration with the BFSI Skill Council of India. The course focuses on foundational knowledge in banking, finance, and insurance during the first two years, followed by a mandatory internship with stipend in the final year. Students will also receive certifications each semester from the National Skill Development Council, enhancing their employability and industry readiness.
Dr. Anita Kanwar, Principal of the autonomous college, said the new programmes are aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. “The introduction of these courses reflects our focus on creating future-ready individuals with both global knowledge and practical experience, ensuring they are job-ready from day one,” she said.
