India’s largest livelihood platform for persons with disabilities, Atypical Advantage, has raised Rs 2.63 crore in its first institutional funding round led by Next Bharat Ventures, an impact fund backed by Suzuki Motor Corporation.
The equity infusion forms part of the company’s pre-Series A funding round and will support its next phase of growth. The organisation plans to scale inclusive hiring, expand employer partnerships, strengthen accessible education and training, and increase economic opportunities for persons with disabilities across India.
The company said the capital will be invested in technology and accessibility, education and employment initiatives, team expansion, and programmes connecting persons with disabilities to employment, mentorship and corporate opportunities.
Founded to promote economic inclusion for persons with disabilities, the platform uses technology, partnerships and community-led solutions to create income pathways. It currently engages thousands of individuals with disabilities and works with corporate partners to support inclusive hiring and livelihoods.
