The Haryana Cabinet has approved a proposal to introduce the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2026, paving the way for the establishment of Masters’ Union University in Gurugram.
The approval follows a Letter of Intent issued by the state government and will enable Masters’ Union to expand its practitioner-led teaching model across management, technology and engineering. The institution also plans to develop programmes in family business and executive education.
Founded in 2020, Masters’ Union bases its programmes on live business projects, industry assignments, venture building and instruction from practitioners.
“We started Masters’ Union with a simple belief that students learn some things best by actually building, solving and doing,” founder Pratham Mittal said. “The Cabinet approval gives us an opportunity to take that philosophy to the scale of a university.”
The proposed university will occupy about 5.14 acres in Gurugram. The site has around 1.07 lakh sq ft of constructed space, including approximately 96,600 sq ft for instruction. Plans include laboratories, venture-building and incubation spaces, residences, and cultural and sports facilities.
The proposal was examined under the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006, by the Academic Committee and Finance Committee. A committee chaired by the Haryana State Higher Education Council chairperson recommended the Letter of Intent, subject to stipulated conditions.
Masters’ Union said its latest placement cycle recorded an average annual compensation of Rs 34.07 lakh, with the highest offer at Rs 1.28 crore. The institution also reported 30 international offers averaging Rs 64 lakh a year. B2K Analytics audited the placement report.
The institution has supported more than 80 student start-ups and currently has over 3,000 students.
