The normalization of illegalities, administrative apathy, and weak oversight reflects a deeper failure of accountability. The dissection hall should teach medicine’s first and most important lesson—not anatomy, but dignity. Every cadaver was once a person with dreams, relationships and fears, and recognising that humanity is what creates empathy. In an age where social media rewards provocation, respect and compassion must remain non-negotiable. If this episode prompts medical education to become more humane towards both the living and the dead, it will honour the sacrifice of our first teachers—our cadavers."
